Week 1: Introduction

Objectives

By the end of this week you will have...

• introduced yourself
• joined the course Moodle
• familiarized yourself with the course procedures, sites and tools
• shared why you decided to study architecture or urban planning
• formed groups for the work during the trimester

Activities

Introductions by teacher and students

1. Read the general instructions

2. Go over the different pages of the wiki, and ask questions if you have doubts:

• Syllabus
• Timetable
• Evaluation Plan

3. Join our course in Moodle. The registration key will be given to you in the lab.

4. Fill in your profile in Moodle if you don´t have one. If you do, please check that it is well-written (proof-read)

5. Please, click on the image below to go to Chinswing. Listen to my message and record your replies to my questions.

6. Take a look at the two units for this trimester and decide which one you will be working on first. Talk with your classmates and make groups.

7. Add this information to the corresponing forum created in Moodle in week 1.

8. Create a wiki at Pbwiki

9. Design the cover page. Don´t forget to add your name, an introduction, and, of course, some images. Record your introduction to the wiki using MyChingo (if you have it from before), Springdoo (remember to register), or Viewpoint (with this one, you can get an applet to embed on your wiki).

10.Add a link to this wiki and to our Moodle on your wiki SideBar

11. Add the link to your wiki, to this forum in Moodle.
